Helloo ✨
Is it odd that I’m sending you a mail on a Sunday evening?
Well, Holy Spirit and doings as always.
Church today was awesome. Honestly every Sunday is awesome because of church 🫢 (and the power naps after) Lol.
Let’s talk bible study.
I strongly believe that there are some things you won’t fully understand until the Holy spirit himself explains to you. Your pastor can always explain these things to you, but there are things you won’t fully grasp until the Holy Spirit talks to you concerning them. Questions on life, ideas, value systems, everything. Like I’ll always say, the Bible has all the answers. ALL. This is why Bible study is important.
One thing I love the most about personal bible study is that the interpretations are mine. When I study, there are explanations I get that are mine. No one can take that away from me. No one can take what the Holy Spirit has told me about a scripture. He teaches me, no rush.
Other people can buttress the point, but those interpretations are mine! When I study, Holy spirit takes a verse and explains it to me. He can relate it to my current or past experiences and makes it very relatable. This is why the first person you should ask when you have a question about the word is the Holy Spirit. When I do this, If he tells me to discuss with other people, I will. But, whatever he says, those interpretations are mine! It is so intimate.
As my pastor shared insights on Joshua’s life today in church, asides from the fresh revelation I got, you could tell that that revelation was personal! This was birthed from his own personal bible study. Other people may have said the exact same thing, but he spoke from a place of confidence like “I have studied this thing, and this is what Holy Spirit said about it”
It wasn’t just something he heard from his lead pastor. It was something that came from a place of fellowship!
You know what this means?
Personal bible study makes you speak about the word of God with so much confidence! You can boldly speak about the word of God, explain scripture to people, and just bask in the knowledge that Holy Spirit has shared.
“Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 AMP
Another thing is that studying and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit can spur someone else to study their bible. You’ll be encouraging your siblings in Christ to press into God.
Why do you even have to study the Bible everyday?
Because the fact that you have been saved is not enough. You need knowledge of who you have now become in Christ! Study the Bible and Pray! Allow the Holy Spirit lead you.
This message is for someone:
God desires to fellowship with you. Ask him those questions. He wants to show you things. He wants to open the eyes of your understanding. He wants to light up your path with his word.
“By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path.“
Psalms 119:105MSG
Have a great week beloved of God✨
I’m rooting for you🤭
